Question of the Week

I was thinking that we need to have a Question of the Week, something we can ponder on for the whole week.

First question:

What do I want to change and why?

We need to be very honest here. Let's post our answers and remember we are all here to support each other. My answer is in my first post.

Caution: this may be in part irreverent ~ Apologies in advance!
I am going to make this 'weight' change to accomplish the youthful energy I once had. I am in my thirties now and feel younger than ever YET do not have the energy to keep up!
I have spent the last 12 years having babies and my body has taken its toll. I maintained the delusion that I could eat what I wanted all the while ‘relaxing’ and a postpartum diet would aid in losing all the baby weight. I have come to realize, this IS NOT the correct process. I wish that I had taken proper care of my body as instructed by the Lord and maintained its youth by eating right and staying active.
I am at a crossroad - while my main goal is to regain the energy I once had, one underlying goal (prepare yourselves sisters AND brothers if you are reading) duh duh duh - I want to make love with the lights on again because I KNOW I look good! Is that vein - YES!!! Now I know that my hubby doesn’t mind, especially after all these years but, I mind. I am not comfortable in my own skin ~CORRECTION~ I am not comfortable in my own FAT!
I am with Lynda though! I AM SICK OF FOOD! I want to eat to live too - not live to eat! (We need shirts, hint hint)... It is time for me to GAIN complete control of what I eat and what I put in my body.
My Get Fit goal is 3 fold: 1. I am committing to eat less (i.e. smaller portions), 2. Cut out the soda pop; bye bye Diet Dr P; and 3. Get active (walk the dog, swim, take a walk after dinner as well as 'other' extracurriculars - lol).
I look forward to being involved with this diet blog as it will provide support to and from people I know and love as well as give me motivation to do better than myself (if that makes sense).
Let’s see some pics??? Before and in progress. I will be the first if no one else wants to post first!
Oh and don't forget to have fun with it! Otherwise we will get board~
Good luck everyone - Here we go!!!

Vic, I am right along side of you. I too, do not like the sight of my own body clothed or naked and if I don't want to see it...I sure don't want David too. I know there is heart problems in my family and they say if you are over 20lbs(can't remember the exact pound) over weight in the middle section you have more of a chance of a heart attack. I need to live for a long time as my kids are so young, plus I don't want my kids taking care of me (at least not yet). I love your goals. Just think by Dec 2009 we will all be healthy and looking "more" youthful and have more energy.
